Thank you for using Isy Bill ("the App"). Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the App and how it is used.

Isy Bill is a receipt scanning and bill-splitting application. It does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use its features.


1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.

The App uses third-party services and a backend server that may process limited data:

The App uses anonymous Firebase Authentication to identify sessions. A unique anonymous identifier is assigned automatically — no account creation or personal information is required.

b. Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics tracks how the App is used (for example, which features are used and how often). This data is aggregated and anonymized.

c. Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Crashlytics collects crash and error reports to help us identify and fix technical issues.

d. Receipt Images and Data

When you scan a receipt, the image is sent to our backend server for text recognition. Processed receipt data is stored on our servers as a cache for up to 30 days, then automatically deleted. We use Google Gemini AI to analyze receipt images on the server.

If you submit feedback through the App, we receive and store the feedback type, title, and message you provide.


2. How We Use Information

Data processed through Firebase services is handled by Google under their privacy policy. Data sent through our backend is processed by Google Gemini AI under Google's privacy policy.

Receipt data is stored on our servers for up to 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted. Feedback submissions are retained as long as necessary to address them.

a. GDPR – European Union

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access, correct, or delete data about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Since we do not collect personal data directly, most rights apply through Firebase. You may also contact us for assistance.

b. CalOPPA – California

In accordance with CalOPPA, users can access the App anonymously. This Privacy Policy is accessible within the App. We do not track users across third-party websites. We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.

c. Other Jurisdictions

We aim to comply with applicable privacy laws worldwide. Our data practices are designed to minimize privacy impact regardless of your location.


7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us.

We take reasonable measures to protect information. Data is transmitted using HTTPS. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.


9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the App, and the Effective Date will be updated.
